Quelcom més que #MinutsMusicals amb "Tommy Gun" dels #TheClash

"Tommy Gun" és una de les cançons que millor defineix The Clash, un grup que va néixer dins el moviment punk britànic de mitjans i finals dels anys '70 del segle passat i que va sobreviure al punk deixant-se influir per altres estils musicals com el reggae, el dub o el blues esdevenint un dels grups imprescindibles del punk-rock de finals dels anys '70 i principis dels anys '80.

Sobre "Tommy Gun", tercera pista del seu segon elapé, Give 'Em Enough Rope (publicat ara fa 35 anys, just abans del llegendari London Calling!), Joe Strummer va declarar anys més tard que l'havia escrit pensant en l'ego dels terroristes imaginant-se'ls llegint els retalls de premsa com si fossin actors i actrius llegint les crítiques de les seves pel·lícules.

Només per la darrera frase val la pena escoltar tota la cançó: si la mort esdevé tan barata el mateix passa amb la vida!
